More about Dr. Dunn:
Dr. Dunn earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park in Counseling Psychology, and completed her internship in Clinical Psychology at Bellevue Hospital Center/New York University Medical Center. At Bellevue, she worked with adult inpatient, palliative care, and adolescents and young children. Over the past 12+ years, Dr. Dunn has accrued varied clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and groups in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Dunn has been a member of the esteemed psychology faculties at Teachers College, Columbia University in the Counseling and Clinical Psychology Department, Towson University's Psychology Department, and the College of Saint Elizabeth's Psychology Department. Additionally, she worked at Ramapo College of NJ for 3.5 years with college students providing direct mental health services. She has provided crisis counseling and served as the primary outreach coordinator at Ramapo's Counseling Center. At the various colleges where she has worked, she has assumed leadership roles on various committees and initiatives.
Dr. Dunn has strong research interests in multicultural psychology and education, college mental heath, and the work/family interface. She has taught several undergraduate and graduate courses: Group Counseling, Introduction to Helping Relationships, Advanced Counseling Techniques, Advanced Abnormal Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Multicultural Counseling, and Advanced Statistics and Research Methods.
In her life outside of teaching, outreach, and therapy, Dr. Dunn is an avid reader who enjoys yoga, cycling, jogging, swimming, and watching sports (i.e., Notre Dame football- Go Irish!).. She is often found spending time with friends and family, and playing with her three young children.
